A food fest, exhibition, and more

If you love quintessential Kerala cuisine, you would not want to miss this. `Ketra Fest 2006' — a Kerala Traditional Food Festival, is on today and tomorrow (October 7 and 8) at J.P. Kalyana Mandapam, Ram Nagar.
The event has been organised by the Malayalee Suhruth Sangam (MASS) to raise funds for its various service programmes. The fest will feature appam with stew and kadalai curry, Ramassery idli with onion theeyal, Kuzhal puttu, boiled green gram and papad, varieties of payasam and fish curry, pathiri with non-vegetarian dishes and tapioca in various preparations.
Other events to be held include dance and singing contests, magic show and cultural events. Complementing the festival will be an exhibition of products and services. For details, call 0422-2230798.
