Fashion Fridayz at Rhapsody will showcase the works of designers every fortnight

STYLE ON SHOW At Courtyard by Marriott
F for Friday, F for Fashion. That seems to be the catch phrase at Rhapsody, Courtyard by Marriott. For those hooked on fashion, food and fun, Rhapsody, the restaurant and bar, is the place to be on Fridays, between 7.00 p.m. and 11.00 p.m.
Fashion designers will be showcasing their creations every fortnight and top city models will sashay down the ramp at "Fashion Fridayz".
The series was kick started with designers Dipnaz and Richa's show.
Nidhi Chordia, Tina Vincent, Rohini Puri and Sidney SS are some of the other designers to be featured at Fashion Fridayz.
Talking about the concept, Ajit Menon, fashion choreographer and the man behind the concept, says, "We have perceived it as an informal fashion weekend. It has been a long time dream of mine. It will be a good platform for local designers to bring to the fore their creativity. What's more, fashion lovers can stay tuned to what's happening in the world of style every fortnight. Long-term plans include roping in designers from Bangalore and Mumbai."
According to Rajat Chaterjee, general manager, Courtyard by Marriott, Chennai, "Fashion Fridayz hopes to weave in an element of fashion into the concept of fine dining. Here, one can get to relax, dine, chat and watch exclusive previews of celebrated designers right across one's table."
