In a lead role

Karthi, the tall, soft-spoken young man, is finally emerging from the shadow of his elder brother Surya. He has been selected by Selvaraghavan, the pathbreaking director of Tamil cinema, to play the lead role in his next film titled "Idhu Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam", which will start rolling from November. The film is produced by White Elephants, a joint venture of Selvaraghavan, cameraman Aravind Krishna and music director Yuvan Shankar Raja, and presented by R. Ravindran. Sandhya is the heroine of the film. In fact, Karthi's debut film "Paruthiveeran" is yet to release.
