A talent hunt for singers

There's another talent hunt doing the rounds, but this one's for singers from the state only

Suneetha

Zee Telugu joined hands with Vijayanthi Tele Ventures to create a unique platform for talented aspiring singers of Andhra Pradesh through the musical talent hunt show - Sa Ri Ga Ma Pa. Sa Ri Ga Ma Pa is not a mere competition amongst aspiring singers, but a pathway to a bright future that fulfils their passion to be the cream of music industry. Though the programme is in the footsteps of Zee TV's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, which is a sensational hit nationwide, some unique features have been added to this version to add a local flavour and cater to the Telugu viewers.

The auditions for the show have been successfully completed in seven locations across the state. "I am proud of Sa Ri Ga Ma Pa which we are doing in association with Zee Telugu" VTV Managing director Swapna Dutt said "The aim of Vyjayanthi group is to provide end to end entertainment via Television which I feel is the best way to get closer to people".

Renowned Telugu singers will be hosting the show. Nandi Award winner Suneetha will anchor the show, while the judges panel will comprise of well-known music directors Koti, Ramana Gogula and other prominent people from the Telugu film industry. Forty-eight contestants will be short listed from all these places and brought to a common venue for the enormous competition that will follow. The show will have 35 episodes and will air from November 2, every Thursday and Friday at 9 p.m. Interactivity in the form of SMS and voting by viewers will also be introduced.
