A festival of pollution?

Gone are the days when Deepavali used to be `The festival of lights'. Now it is a `festival of pollution'.

This year was no different.

The loud noise generated by crackers disturbed the old and infirm. Animals yelped in fear and a thick blanket of smoke shrouded most areas.

At least in future, let us celebrate this festival without harming the environment.
