Romance and box-office?


Will the Abhishek-Ash love story give a good opening to their forthcoming releases — "Umrao Jaan", "Dhoom-2" and "Guru"? Stories have appeared in all Page-3 Mumbai dailies and on Internet sites about their forthcoming wedding, quoting a Bachchan family astrologer. So does this whip up audience anticipation to see "Umrao Jaan", which releases this Friday? Film publicists are working overtime to heighten the romance, but audiences have become smart and know better. Recently, a much-hyped Tamil film tried to cash in on the lead actor's fairytale romance and wedding but the move backfired and the film bombed!
