Website for Changampuzha Samskarika Kendram

The Changampuzha Samskarika Kendram, which has been functioning for some years now, with their activities centred in the Changampuzha Park at Edappally, has a website now:www.chkkerala.com. It is to be inaugurated on Sunday at 7 pm by K. Babu MLA, at the Changampuzha Park. A couple of years ago, the Park was anything but one, with weeds overgrown and anti social elements having a field day. The Kendram transformed such a place to the busiest cultural hub in the city, though it is in the suburbs. It was not money but the will of those at the helm of the Kendram that made this possible. By associating themselves with various cultural bodies like Lokadharmi, Sangeetha Sadas and the Kathakali Aswathaka sanghom, and giving them a free stage to perform, they brought in a different ambience to the place. As the programmes were free for the general public, it gave a democratic feel to it all. Now this website will give it that edge to reach out more to the people.
