Sequel mania

In Bollywood chronicles, 2006 is likely to go down as a landmark year. A new formula has been discovered — follow up a hit with a sequel or simply remake old hits! It seems to be working as "Lage Raho Munnabhai", "Krrish" and "Don" have turned out to be huge grossers. Releasing this Friday is "Dhoom-2", a sequel to "Dhoom" that was a smashing hit last year. The trade prediction is that "Dhoom-2" releasing with over 1000 plus prints worldwide, including dubbed versions in Tamil and Telugu, will take a bigger opening than the other releases of the year. Already, the buzz is that "Dhoom-3" is likely sometime in 2008!
