The Kanger National Park, a biosphere reserve, derives its name from the Kanger river that flows through it. The area was declared a National Park in 1982. Apart from the flora and fauna, the stalactite and stalagmite caves of Kutamsar, Kailash and Dandak are a major attraction here as are the spectacular Tirathgarh waterfalls.

The Park is a must visit for wildlife enthusiasts and anthropologists (the park has a sizeable tribal population).
