An Epic goes online

Rajshri Media, the digital entertainment and new media arm of the 60-year-old Rajshri group, will premiere B. R. Chopra's celebrated TV series, "Mahabharat" on the Internet at www.rajshri.com. The televised version of the epic was a huge success when it was telecast in the late 1980s and has been successfully telecast many times thereafter on TV networks worldwide. "Mahabharat" will be available in multiple versions on www.rajshri.com — the original Hindi version, a Hindi version with English subtitles and the Tamil version, "Mahabharatam." The TV series will be available for both, free streaming and paid downloads, to a global audience on PCs and other broadband enabled devices, on demand 24X7.
