Get set to party

AMRITA NAYAKAMRITA NAYAK

Mangaloreans have lots of options for tomorrow night

The last party of the year is a little more than 24 hours away and Mangloreans, who have decided to party out of home, are having a tough time deciding where to go. With umpteen options open to them, party animals are champing at the bit. Each party worth its name has a different theme so as to be a little apart from the rest. With the party scene hotting up, party-hoppers are scouting around for the best deals.

The Arabian Night at Zero Degree Family Lounge has a completely Arabian ambience with two-floor party. The first floor will be exclusively for music and dance. DJ Yogi will groove the people with his foot-tapping Arabian numbers and the dance floor will be brightened by talented dancers performing Arabian dances. The second floor is an open venue with cushioned seating, flavoured hookahs and a live barbeque. You can also gaze at the open sky as an add-on to your sensory experiences.

Hawaiian night

At Pegasus, Hawaiian Night beckons people with a plethora of variety programs. The New Pegasus Open Ground (behind Pegasus) will be transformed into an ocean of fun and talent. Separate counters like hair colouring counter, tattoo counter and so on will provide the fashion you want to make. Russian dancers from Mumbai and fire artistes performing daring stunts add to the glitter of the party. A fashion show conveying the message that let the New Year be as colourful as possible is on the cards. To add to the excitement, rain dance and three DJs playing simultaneously will make it more thrilling. The venue will have special effects lighting, jumbo lasers and scanners and a 10,000-watt music system. "We want to entertain all groups of people. By organising such a program, we want to make the New Year celebrations as joyful as possible," say Sharath K. Amin and Yatish T. Amin of Techno Zone, which is organising the celebration.

Poolside party

Dhoom 2006 at Hotel Moti Mahal has a poolside party with the live band Wildness playing rock and bhangra numbers. The dance floor beside the pool will see couples dancing and winning prizes galore. You can pamper yourself to a lavish dinner buffet serving 60 varieties of dishes and sweets. Dhoom 2006 is all about variety, style and fun. Free air tickets to exotic holiday destinations will be a part of the prizes won by Moti King and Moti Queen (one of the on-the-spot contests).

Taj Manjarun is all geared up to celebrate New Year's Eve with two parties. At the poolside party, people will get to rock to the fabulous music played by Pearl Magic besides helping themselves at the multi-cuisine buffet comprising Indian and international dishes. The excitement of welcoming the New Year will be heightened by a crackers show at midnight. The Cardamom restaurant will see DJ Ashraf at his best. A multi-cuisine dinner will also be served.
