Art shows

Look forward to a number of art shows that are coming up in the city.

An exhibition of paintings by Ponniam Chandran will be held at the Rossita Art Gallery, Fort Kochi from December 6-21. Chandran, who works as an art teacher at Kuthuparamba High School, Kannur, has conducted over 25 solo shows and participated in over 100 group shows. Winner of the Kerala Lalithakala Akademi award twice, Chandran has also won awards for his collection of short stories and for the best art teacher.

Contemporary Art Gallery, Durbar Hall, will host from January 12-15 a painting exhibition by Vinod M.S. and from January 16-20 works by Ernakulam artist Sunil Vallarpadom will be on show.

At Chitram Art Gallery you can enjoy the ongoing exhibition, Apoorva, which has works of artists from Kerala and outside the State. This show is on till January 15.
