Salman Khan and Aasma walk away with applause

Hyderabadis, known to saunter in an hour late for fashion shows, tuned out in large numbers in time for the event. After all, no one wanted to miss Salman Khan walking the ramp. Despite the turnout, the show started off an hour after the stipulated time. Setting the mood for the Saberi's evening of fashion and entertainment, Hyderabad-based singer Hasmat belted out a few hit numbers. Soon after, leading models from the country took to the ramp showing you how to team up sunglasses with beach and gym wear. The gathering cheered model-turned-actors Shawar Ali and Zulfi Syed as they walked the ramp.

The show was punctuated with brief performances by the Aasma group. The Aasma youngsters knew a thing or two on how to get the crowd grooving. They began with their hit number Chandu ki Chacha and moved on to belt out Hindi films hits like Dus Bahane and Kya Mujhe Pyaar Hai, inviting the enthusiastic ones to get on to the ramp and shake a leg. The second sequence of the fashion show had models teaming up sunglasses with formal and lounge wear. The grand finale was, of course, Salman walking the ramp.

Through the evening, the cops and security personnel at Taj Krishna had their task cut out: keep intruders and gatecrashers at bay.
