Launch of the audio CD and cassette of "Muni"

GALA EVENT At the launch of the audio of " Muni"

Asian Sky Entertainment (ASE) and Gemini Productions recently launched the audio of the film "Muni" in a unique way.

Nag Ravi, CEO, ASE, who was Master of Ceremonies at the launch, said, "From December 2006, we started advertising for people whose names had the word `Muni" in it, like Muni, Munisami or Muniappan. They had to write to Gemini Productions providing sufficient proof of name to be eligible for a New Year surprise. Within a week, we got almost 5,000 responses."

The function was organised at the Muni temple located in Nandambakkam, where quite a bit of the film was shot. All those who had Muni in their names and were present on the occasion, were given two meal coupons, photo coupons and a gift coupon. Following a photo session with the director, Raghavendra Lawrence, and the protagonist, Rajkiran, the song `Varanda Muni' was shot with them and the special guests (the Munis).

At the function, director Saran said, "When Lawrence narrated the story, I liked it instantly. I am happy to produce this film."

After the cassette release, Vinu Chakravarthy, `Kadhal' Dhandapani, Ramesh Kanna, Manobala and Raj Kiran spoke.

Bharadwaj has composed the music that is sure to have mass appeal. "Assah Pussah," written by Pa.Vijay and sung by Karthick and Priya, is the highlight of the album. "Suru Suru Susuravarthi," written by Raghavendra Lawrence, is sung by Ranjith and Anoorada Sriram. "Gulla Gulla Dracula," with the lyrics of Pa.Vijay and sung by Sathyan and group, has a peppy beat. "Thalai Suthuthey Mami" and "Mama" are catchy.

Bharadwaj sings the `Mami' version with Kavitha, while Lawrence sings the `Mama' version.
