New look!
It is the tourists' season and hotels are sprucing up their spaces. And The Park Residence, which is right opposite the historic Jantar Mantar has also renovated its ninth and tenth floors recently with themes like vastu shastra, the element of earth and the city of Delhi having been taken to do up the floors.According to the General Manager "The idea is inspired by the `elements of earth', where earthy colours are predominant in rooms and the greenery of Delhi can be enjoyed by sitting in the lounge". The hotel offers 25 deluxe rooms, 7 deluxe suites, 4 presidential suites and one lounge with boardroom facilities.
The luxuriously appointed suites and rooms use shades of brown, rust and stone, which provide soothing background for green and orange colours. Oak wall panels suggest the patina of the metropolis. To emphasise the greenery of Delhi, wheat grass is grown across the back of the desk. Leather is used extensively for furniture and accessories. Embossed panels and laser cut suede bedspreads bring in floral motif indoors. Green and orange rugs and glass panels provide flashes of colours in otherwise calm spaces. Modern and traditional prints and artefactsdecorate the rooms. The bedroom has large LCD TV's, personal DVD player and JBL sound centres for docking the I-Pod.
