Music concert

The next instalment of Levi's Sunday Jam is set to take place on February 4. Headlining the concert is Nemanja Rebic from Serbia, Europe. Rebic has a Bachelor's degree in jazz and classical guitar, from the conservatory Van Amsterdam, and has learnt tabla for two years from Niti Ranjan Biswas of Bangladesh. He is here in the country on an exploration of classical Indian music, after being smitten by Shakti's Handful of Beauty. He is currently learning Carnatic classical vocal and mridanga in Bangalore. He has several projects to his credit including Neanderthal Alien, Verstaerker and a solo project called Nemo.

The Sunday Jam will also feature more than 15 local bands from Bangalore. The concert kicks off at 5 p.m. on February 4 at The Beautiful Amphitheatre, Shankara Foundation, Kanakapura Road. Log onto www.freedomjam.net for details.
