Fete for civic awareness
Children's Movement for Civic Awareness is organising its annual CMCA Jaatre between 9.30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on February 3 at St. Joseph's Indian High School Grounds.
CMCA Jaatre is the culmination of CMCA activities during the academic year and serves as a meeting ground for all the member clubs and lauds the efforts of member children, volunteers and schools. The occasion will feature the unveiling of the CMCA banner, "I Have Made a Difference" as well as displays by the various civic clubs of their campaign material and models based on civic and environmental issues.
The Jaatre will also feature interesting events and educative and fun games stalls intended to stimulate a child's mind on civic and environmental issues of concern to all of us. There's also a music competition for CMCA schools, Melodies for Maladies, as well as a "Speaker's Corner", for children to voice their opinion on any civic issue of their choice. The Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB), Karnataka Renewable Energy Department (KREDL), and other information stalls will also be part of the Jaatre.
