Musical magic

January 20 saw Taramati Baradari come alive with the magic of music. The event, a ghazal night organized by Citibank for honchos of the corporate houses in Hyderabad was a night to remember.

Padmashri Pankaj Udhas created an ambience unlike any before. Big names like Satyam, Wipro, Deloitte, TCS, Xilinx, iGate and Zensar participated, as Saru Kaushal, Business Head, Citibank Suvidha played the host. and many more.

Pankaj Udhas mesmerised the audiences with popular renditions like Chithi aayi hai and Chaandi jaisa rang. The maestro who has a fan following spanning over two generations had the audience awed, especially with the jugalbandi. The evening concluded with a cocktail dinner.

Tribute to the Mahatma

Devandrone, the members of Sanskriti, a voluntary culture promotion organisation took up a project called Sabarmathi Sangeeth, through which they intend to promote the bhajans of Mahatma Gandhi.
