Milleret watches from Switzerland launched in the city

ELEGANT STATEMENT Actress Shriya Reddy sporting Diva, a Milleret wrist watch

`Days are measured by it — what it is?' Can't be a difficult riddle at an event that announced the launch of a timepiece. Vee Line Jewels and Watches has brought Milleret from Switzerland to Chennai. The company's director Vinod Doshi said it in broken Tamil. His endearing, short speech also dealt with his connection with Chennai. Jitender of Vummudi Bangaru Jewellers and G.R. Ananthapadmanabhan of GRT Jewellery joined Doshi on the podium to let the audience know that the Milleret timepieces would be available at their showrooms.

Actor Shriya Reddy joined the trio to launch Milleret by wearing a model called `Diva'. She said she felt like a diva; and that the watch made her go `ooh-la-la'. Not surprising, because it is a luxury watch that has gold and diamond among its components.

On the ramp, models displayed the other timepieces — La Paave (characterised by curved 18carat yellow and white gold cases set with 178 top Wesselton diamonds; and a choice of leather and satin straps and two types of gold bracelets), Eighteen Forever (made of yellow or white gold and featuring a gold crown set with diamonds), Gala (take a black PVD case with black diamonds), Anaconda (the diamonds in the dial are integrated with the diamonds on the case), the limited edition Squeleton (which comes with a mechanical hand winding movement which has been completely engraved by hand. The 18K/5N pink gold case reveals the movement with its see-through sapphite black case and its anti-reflect sapphire glass), the sporty-looking XXL and Chronographe (finished in stainless steel with a choice of three dial colours, this automatic chronograph features a non-reflective double face sapphire crystal).
