Poignant play

Staging of "The Heart Of The Matter," directed by Sita Raina, on March 2

The Prime Time Theatre Company stages Nicholas Kharkongor's "The Heart Of The Matter," a play that sensitively deals with cancer, on March 2, 7.30 p.m., at the Chinmaya Heritage Centre, Harrington Road.

Directed by Sita Raina, the play revolves around Geetan who discovers she has cancer. Her meeting with Dinesh, also suffering from cancer, changes her life.

"The Heart Of The Matter" is a love story that communicates the message of hope and positive thinking, and celebrates life. The script is a mix of humour and sentiment, cleverly woven together with opera music.

The cast includes Sita Raina, Sonam Kalra, Shena Gamat, Dhruv Jagasia, Natasha Kumar and Oroon Das. Part of the proceeds from the event will be given to a cancer foundation to support children suffering from the disease.
