New look

Cheran's invitation for the audio launch of "Mayakannadi" on Friday, at Albert theatre is unique. It is in 3D format and so is the audio CD cover. Veteran producer Panju Arunachalam presents the film under the Chellamai Celluloid banner. Cheran has gone in for a complete image makeover in the film where he plays a city slicker. Says Cheran: "It is a love story set in a metro. I've teamed up with Raja sir (Ilayaraaja) for the first time. The music is soulful yet peppy and the sequences are shot in Switzerland and Venice." Navya Nair is Cheran's heroine and both play beauticians.
