New FM radio channel
Here is one more FM radio station that you can tune into. The Hindustan Times and Virgin promoted Fever 104 FM is now on air. The station claims that it is the first "Format Radio Station" in the country. The station has blabbermouth Darius Sunawala as its Programme Director and its list of RJs include Fiona, Rohit Jayakaran, Rubina and Jimmy as well as freshers like Rajesh Mehar, Aarti Krishnan and Melody.
"We celebrate the essence of music and position ourselves as more music, less talk. Our target audience is the discerning, urban Bangalorean who is looking for a great listening experience. We want to entertain listeners 24/7," says S. Keerthivasan, Business Head, HT Music & Entertainment.
They say their programming style delivers more music unlike conventional block radio programming that creates specific time slots for different kinds of music. It has a sprawling office spread across 7,500 sq feet and houses five studios. They can broadcast shows live as well as host collaborations by music bands at the station.
