Big B on Zee TV
Is it a sign of things to come? Amitabh Bachchan appearing on "Antakshari" show on Zee TV, has created quite a flutter.
Amitabh had, so far, refused to do any TV show or appearance other than KBC for STAR Network.
Now, that Shah Rukh Khan has taken over the hot seat, things were bound to change. Zee is the No. 2 Hindi channel after STAR Plus.
A few months back, Star had taken the entire "Antakshari" team of Zee TV, led by Gajendra Singh, the man who pioneered the show, to start its own "Antakshari."
Now, Zee has come out with a six-part mini "Antakshari" series.
It looks at socially relevant issues such as problems faced by the visually challenged, shelter for senior citizens and rehabilitation of street children.
The show is called "Music for a cause" and in one of the six episodes, Bachchan will make an appearance.
He will be regaling the audiences with a rendition of Khalid Hashmi's "Main Prakash Hoon," a poem that highlights the fact that blindness is not a handicap.
Zee TV will start the show from March 23, 8.30 p.m.
