Cricket frenzy

If you eat, sleep and drink cricket, there are more than enough offers for you

With cricket exhilaration hitting a high, BIG 92.7 FM is bringing that elation to all its listeners through an association with noted sports commentator and cricket expert Harsha Bhogle and actor-compere Shekhar Suman. Through the period of the World Cup, the radio station will be providing its fans an insider's take on the game with Harsha Bhogle's "Big Cricket Expert" and with humorous aspects of the game with Shekhar Suman's "Big Googly".

Shekhar Suman will be appearing on Radio Big between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. from Monday to Friday, while Harsha Bhogle will be on air during the breakfast show between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. seven days a week through the World Cup.

While the show hosted by Shekhar Suman will provide all humorous aspects of the game, Harsha Bhogle will add insider's take on the game.

ESPN offer

ESPN Star Sports is also providing some special World Cup programming initiatives on its channels for viewers in the sub continent. The channels will have their team of "A Few Good Men"analysing team chances and performances pre, during and post every World Cup matches. The special programming goes on air from early March onwards to build the World Cup fever. To serve its viewers a daily dose of happenings at the cup, ESPN will air a unique breakfast show, Taking Guard that will keep cricket fans up to speed with the latest at the World Cup.

The show that is aired every morning during the World Cup will have a match review from the previous night and a preview of the coming evening's match for all 51 matches played. The show will hosted by Alan Wilkins and later by Harsha Bhogle and will comprise a celebrated panel of ex-cricketers like Sunil Gavaskar, Ravi Shastri, Wasim Akram and Pat Symcox.

Taking Guard will be on air on ESPN at 8.30 a.m. every morning throughout the World Cup.
