Neatly adapted

Mira Nair's critically acclaimed "Namesake," premiered at the prestigious London Film Festival, finally comes to Chennai this Friday. It is based on Jhumpa Lahiri's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by the same name. The film is said to be a touching portrayal of an Indian immigrant family in New York, with brilliant performances by Irfan Khan and Tabu. Chennai-based actress Sukanya too plays an important role in the film. The dialogues are a mixture of Bengali and American English!
