CRAIG'S CALL

A reason to feel secure

No matter what, there are real friends whom you can always count on

FRIENDS FOREVER True friendship stands the test of time

Relationships are of many kinds. This time I'm going to write about a kind of relationship I've found to be the most important, but somehow the least written about — Friendship. It's the kind of relationship that can stand the test of time, provided you stand by it. And though all of us have friends, friendship is the one thing we take for granted.

Through thick and thin

So, this article is for friends. Not for those you speak to or those who amuse you, but those who stick by you through the toughest of times, simply because they believe in you. What I am today, my accomplishments, is thanks to my own efforts, of course, with the advice, guidance and care of my parents and well-wishers. My failures are mine too, because I didn't believe in the advice of those more experienced than me. Though I had friends, in fact, many of them, I never considered them an important part of my life, probably because I had better things to do. Life's changed now and my future is clear. And as I was thinking about the things I liked, I remembered the people who were with me during all those times I thought I could never make it anywhere, all those times I was dumped in a relationship and cried almost the entire night, all those times I wanted to go somewhere, all those times I needed a hug and an ego boost because I looked nice or did something praiseworthy. I thought of my friends. Sure there were those people who posed as friends just because they needed something in time. But this is for all my real friends. You are the reason that I feel secure, because no matter what happens, I know you'll always have my back. You are my strength and my joy.

So, remember your friends and treat them well. Because such relationships evolve when they stand the test of time and you'll realise that one day your friends won't be your friends anymore... they'd have evolved into family.
