Climb every mountain

For children with special needs
|
To promote adventure sports among differently abled children, the Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) is organising adventure camps for children with special needs. Applications are invited from children and from organisations looking after them.
The training is designed to impart basic climbing skills to children aged between eight and 18. Three camps will be conducted.
There will be a two-day introductory rock climbing training in the IMF campus in Delhi. There will also be a 10-day adventure/mountaineering training programme for visually challenged children at the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Darjeeling, and a 15-day adventure/mountaineering training programme for the physically, mentally challenged and the visually impaired at the Directorate of Mountaineering and Allied Sport, Manali. The camps will be organised in April/June. The training is free of charge. Boarding and lodging of the participants and their guides will be taken care of by the Foundation.The last date to submit applications is today. Call 011-24111211, 011-24117935 for more details.
