MMA choir presents Tom Fettke's "Victory" on April 7

The Madras Musical Association presents its choir in Tom Fettke's "Victory", a modern Easter cantata, which will be performed at St. Mary's Church, Fort St. George on April 7 (Holy Saturday) at 6.30 p.m. The choir will be conducted by Samuel Grubb with Edwin Roy on the piano.

A lively cantata, "Victory" weaves traditional hymns into the fabric of a musical with a strong narrative portraying celebration as its main theme. It is one of Fettke's most loved contemporary creations.

The MMA choir has been in existence for the past 114 years. It has performed in international church music festivals in Coventry in 1998 and 2000 and at the Sydney Opera House in connection with the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. Recently, it performed at the Chennai Sangamam.
