Misnomer

Spending lavishly for a wedding has become a status symbol nowadays. In India, money is mainly wasted on the food served during the weddings.

Also a lot of money is being wasted on flowers and decorations. Nowadays, photos of the couple are displayed in flex banners. All these highlight one’s might and this is criminal wastage of the money.

People should come out of their sentiment that the couple will live long happily only when such things are carried out. Marriages should be conducted in a simple manner. All excess food can be distributed among the poor instead of throwing them in the garbage.
