Scoring a goal

Director Kamal, who has made some breezy entertainers without depending on superstars, is back with “Goal,” released on May 11. It is a feel good romantic movie set against the backdrop of an upmarket boarding school in Ooty. The game of football takes the story forward. Kamal has an all-new star cast in Rejith Menon, a Chennai-based engineering student who plays the hero, and Aksha, a Mumbai model in the female lead. The other heroine is Mukta George (Bhanu in Tamil). Like in all Kamal films, music plays an important role and the songs tuned by Vidyasagar shot in foreign locales add richness to the film.
