Difficult choice Mouth-watering pastries on display

How about having a new variety of your favourite pastries, cakes, snacks and breads everyday? Sounds interesting? Bagels, a bakery joint on the Sampath Vinayaka temple road, is the place to be.

There are over 50 varieties of pastries and one can find a few new varieties and flavours each day of the week. “Litchi Gateau, strawberry Swiss roll, fresh fruit gateau, mango slice and honey walnut round are a few of the pastries which cannot be found anywhere else in the city,” say Pradeep Kattamuri and K. Abhishek, partners of the firm.

Normally, we hear of milk bread and fruit bread. One can choose from about 15 different varieties of bread. The health conscious food lovers can go for ‘raagi’ loaf, banana raisin, garlic or spinach bread. Pradeep has come out with new concepts in cake-making like five-tier cakes for occasions like weddings and birthdays and 10 varieties of chocolate cakes. The good thing is that the cakes can be made to order in just 10 minutes flat!

The snacks include veg cheese puff, mushroom puff, paneer puff and veg spring roll. Those who relish non-veg items can go for butter chicken rolls, chicken winglet, chicken lollipop and chicken roast.

The neat ambience and the vast variety on display are sure to tickle the taste buds of food lovers. After all, variety is the spice of life.
