Audition for dancers

Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts, Bangalore, is looking to recruit dancers and trainee dancers who have completed their Class XII or equivalent examination, who are interested in developing a career in dance.

Attakkalari is conducting an audition to identify talented dancers at Jawahar Bal-Bhavan, Chembukavu, Thrissur. Interested candidates must come to the venue with a recent bio-data and loose practice clothing (eg. tracksuit and T-shirt) at least 15 minutes before the starting time, that is Sunday, (27-05-07) at 10 am.

Selected candidates will undergo a one-year training in Attakkalari’s professional diploma in Movement Arts and Mixed Media. After the training they will have the opportunity to join Attakkalari’s repertory company that performs in major national and international festivals .

Thay can also become members of the education outreach team to teach dance in schools, corporate houses and other community centres.

They will be considered for independent projects, national and international residencies, workshops and participation in festivals.
