Best view Amsterdam beckons

A new series on Discovery Travel & Living, “Not Your Average Travel Guide” presents an accessible approach to touring the world. The series takes viewers through some of the most exciting and popular cities of the world including Amst erdam, Dublin, London and Rome and offers both unique travel tips as well as insights into diverse lifestyles. It arms viewers with the most engaging itineraries, including the best ways to travel, local munchies, must-visits and best time to visit.

From capturing Queen’s Day celebrations in Amsterdam to St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in Dublin, from presenting Irish dancing to Rome’s Gladiator fighting, from shopping for traditional items like Dutch clogs to visiting homes of famous personalities such as Jimi Hendrix, the series is packed with entertaining elements today’s young Indian traveller seeks.

With food being one of the most popular subjects across the world, the series stops at the cities’ must-visit eateries, including The Pancake Bakery in Amsterdam and Veeraswamy, the oldest Indian restaurant, in London.

“Not Your Average Travel Guide” will air on Discovery Travel & Living every Saturday at 10 p.m.
