Parragon Publishing India joins hands with Disney Books to publish its titles

Now young readers can expect to have some interesting books on their shelves. Parragon Publishing India has joined hands with Disney Books to publish its titles in India. So they can look forward to a new range of Disney books with a wide gamut of ti tles, popular cartoon characters etc., in a reader-friendly format. Disney range also comprises board books, drawing and colouring books, activity series, sticker books, CD + story books, box sets, sing-along audio range and movie tie-ins books.

Says Vineet Sharma, managing Director, Parragon India, “The publishing house has been operating in more than 35 markets around the world, so this is just an extension of our existing relationship with Disney.” . Commenting on the future of readership in India, he adds, “Reading habits are definitely getting better. This collaboration will definitely increase these habits as we are making efforts to provide high-quality books at reduced prices.”

With Parragon closing its sales for their financial year at Rs.70 Million, they are now eyeing the Indian market. According to Paul Taylor, Managing Director, United States, “India covers 20 per cent of the global readership, so we are targeting Indian readers.” Paul further mentions that Indian market is an ‘exciting’ market for the international publishers.

“We have 60 per cent of the titles exclusively meant for young readers because there is a great thirst in children to know what all is happening around the globe,” says Lutz Billstein, Managing Director, U.K.
