Watching Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in Hyderabad is extra special for Potter fans. For, they’ll be the lucky few who’ll see Potter take on his enemies on a 3D Imax screen. Warner Brothers Pictures is rele asing the film with over 22,000 prints going to exhibitors around the world. This also happens to be the largest digital cinema release till date for any Warner Brothers’ title with over 750 screens. As far as Imax releases go, the film will open on 126 Imax screens worldwide of which 91 are in the U.S.

Prasad’s Imax, where the film has opened this week, has received an overwhelming response through its advance booking. “All the previous Potter films have been phenomenally successful. This time, we’ve seen a 40 to 50 per cent increase in advance booking in cities like Hyderabad and Bangalore,” says Sanjay Narayan, marketing manager, Warner Brothers.

Watching the film on a 3D Imax screen will enable you to catch more than 20 minutes of digital effects, particularly the climax portions.
