A Thai experience

ITC Park Sheraton and Towers presents Tastefully-Thai, an exotic buffet spread from the home fires of Thailand till July 22 at The Residency.

Usually hot Thai food uses a lot of spices and aromatic plants such as sweet basil, pandanus, kafir lime and galangal.

Start your meal with the crunchy Kao Mun Som Tum (shredded green papaya salad with carrots, cabbage and coconut rice), Tom Kaah Kai (chicken soup with coconut milk, lemon grass and galangal). For the main course, you could try Murk Rue Poo Phad Pongkaree (stir fried blue crab with yellow curry powder and seasonal vegetables), Pla Preowwan (sweet and sour fish) and Gai Thod Sauce Bauy (deep fried chicken with sweet plum sauce).

Vegetarians can have an array of mouth-watering dishes to choose from — Pak Phad Aikraprao (fried mixed vegetables with chillies and basil), Mork Mormai Warn (shredded bamboo shoots steamed in banana leaves with sweet basil and chillies) and Tao Hoo Phad Kraphaw (stir fried bean curd with Thai hot basil and chillies).

Finally, treat your taste buds to Khao Niew Bai Toey (pandanus flavoured sticky rice with coconut ice cream).
