If you’re looking for some attractive artefacts, you could check out the Rajasthan Crafts Mela at Raja Kalyana Mandapam, No.205, Main Road, Velachery. Organised by Colour Cotton India, the exhibition features a wide variety of handicrafts and h
andlooms sourced from all over India.
The highlights of the exhibition are old temple art, created by skilled artisans from all over India, and partitions and garden chairs in sheesham wood from Saharanpur. Also on display are stone painting, silk painting, fruit bowls, jewel boxes, black metal items, one gram gold jewellery, bangles from Jaipur, saris and home and bed linen from Rajasthan. A discount of 10 per cent on handicrafts and up to 20 per cent on handlooms is given. The exhibition is on till July 29, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on all days including Sundays.
