My kind of place

Into the jungle

Whether I get to see animals or not, forests are the best getaways for me. The intriguing sights and sounds cannot be experienced elsewhere. Holidays mean relaxation, and to relax you need absolute calm. Luckily Karnataka (he is based in Bangalore) has many forest areas — Kabini, Bandipur, Nagarhole, Coorg — and I have explored most of them.

Kabini offers spectacular views of valleys, pools, and animals roaming freely. Want to catch a glimpse of the majestic Asiatic elephants? Then Bandipur is the place. If you are lucky and visit the park at the right time, you may also get to see tigers. Coorg is another scenic delight with its hills, lush forests, and coffee and tea plantations.

I am not much of a beach person. But I do enjoy standing on the banks of a river and watching the water flow.
