Old world charm ‘The Backwater Retreat’

On the banks of the Ashtamudi Lake (Kollam, Kerala), a new resort ‘The Backwater Retreat’ has been opened by Club Mahindra. It attempts to recreate the splendour of the traditional South Travancore kingdom including a 75-year-old family h ouse of Kerala (tharavad).
