Dance festival in Tirupur

The Tiruppur Shanmukhananda Sangeetha Sabha will conduct a three-day dance festival Konjum Salangai 2007 in Tirupur, between July 27 and 29. It will be held at Velayuthasamy Mandapam on Dharapuram Road.

On July 27, Shobana Ramesh will give a Bharathanatyam performance.

A dance drama Silappathikaram by Tanjore Vadivu Devi will be held on July 28.

The concluding day will feature a Bharathanatyam performance by actor Swarnamalya.

On all three days, budding dancers will be given an opportunity to perform in the evenings beginning at 5.30 p.m.

The venue will have a food court, and entry is free.
