Peppy love story

Genelia, the bubbly actor with the girl-next-door image, is back in Tamil films along with Jayam Ravi in “Santosh Subramaniyan,” directed by M. Raja. It is a remake of the Telugu blockbuster, “Bommaralu,” where she is paired w ith Siddharth. A peppy love story, it revolves around a boy trying to break free from the rules imposed by his strict father, played by Prakash Raj, who also did the original. Says Genelia, who received a lot of accolades for her performance in “Bommaralu”: “I was casual when I did the original, but now I feel there is a lot more responsibility to make it work in Tamil too.”
