As sweet as Jalebee!

The Indian electronic band will perform on July 27

Ashvin Sharma and Ash Roy of Jalebee Cartel, the electronic band, will perform at Pasha, The Park on July 27, 8.30 p.m. onwards. The band has several releases with independent record companies from across the world.

Although electronica has been a staple global genre for a while, churning out brilliant records and big names, it is yet to penetrate the Indian musical scene. Jalebee Cartel’s sound is about an explosive electronic experience. It’s about fusing influences to create a distinctive brand of urban Indian dance music.

The live act combines the Cartel’s own compositions with electronic tunes from clubs all over the world, traversing the entire sonic spectrum while throwing in ethnic Indian sounds for good measure.
