Any which burger you like

Burgers can be had any time. Chicken, lamb or a very vegetarian one is available at the burger festival on at Hotel Avenue Regent

Sink your teeth in Burgers delight

It’s raining burgers at Cocoa Tree, Avenue Regent, to the symphony of raindrops outside. And burger time is smiley time. Not only for kids but for adults too.

At the burger festival at Hotel Avenue Regent, Kochi, the impish potato smileys on your plate are just waiting for you to gobble them up while that crispy coleslaw gears you for that big bite into that jumbo burger.

Delicious

As you slurp the succulent combo, you can feel the cheese melting in your mouth with the aroma of fresh buns wafting into your nostrils.

Says Food and Beverages manager Robert Raj, “This is the second time the hotel is hosting the burger festival and it is also a welcome back home gesture for the non resident families holidaying at Kochi.”

Corporate chef K.C. Joseph’s fish fillet burger, the Maryland cheese burger with varieties of cheese, the double decker burger with a choice of beef or chicken and the barbeque chicken burger have many takers. The burgers are priced between Rs 125 and Rs.140. For those on an only veggie trail due to ‘karkidakam’ fast, the paneer and cheese burger at Rs.100 each and the simple vegetable burger at Rs. 90 really doesn’t make you miss those chicken pieces. D.J Suraj and Arun Prabhakar a businessman who are regulars here are thumbs up for this unique fest.

Says Naushad, a film producer and celebrity chef of the ‘Ootupura’ show on television “The oriental chicken burger has a distinct Chinese flavour, and the mayonnaise and the veggies are really fresh”.

There are also the burger, the chicken burger and the lamb burger for those looking for variety.

In addition to the huge spread of burgers there are the usual, pastries, the sandwiches and the coffee medley and the mock tails to be had.

The burger fest is on from July 19th to August 5th.
