The inside story

The latest designs of spring-summer and autumn-winter were showcased

No longer a furtive affair, lingerie has come out and how! We had pretty woman Julia Roberts show that it is not only supermen who do it – wear their innerwear over their clothes.

In her Oscar winning role as Erin Brockovich, she showed the world what co-ordinated lingerie does to an outfit.

The recent lingerie fashion show at the Taj Residency was along the same lines as top models from India and abroad set the stage on fire showcasing Triumph International’s spring-summer and autumn-winter collection 2007 as well as the highlights of the 2006 collection.

Every piece in the collection boasted of perfect synchronization between smooth, seamless, sophisticated and seductive. The lingerie was styled in exquisite lace and embroidery that helps to creates a perfect wardrobe of innerwear solutions.

Extensive research saw the creation of a range specifically selected and designed based on the bodies and lifestyles of the Indian women.

The new lines for the season include Miss Triumph, Softwear and seduction. Miss Triumph is inspired by fresh themes that offers high fashion with top quality in a variety of styles with a perfect fit. Influenced by a modern outlook, the line is romantic, seductive and sporty-just like today’s young woman.

In complete contrast, Softwear is a classic collection of pure simplicity combined with the ultimate feeling of comfort for daily wear.

The designs are simple and tasteful. For the romantics, there is sweet comfort in delicate pastel shades which gives a special dreamy look and feel.

For the bold and enterprising, there is Seduction, an impressive line which luxuriates in exclusivity and allure. The designs are risqué and daring for that ultra sexy look with defiantly seductive and attractive styles in rich embroidery and lace amalgamated with the lightest of fabric.

There was also the preview and forecast of the 2008 collection from Sloggi, a trendy range with bright colours and bold designs for the young and young at heart. The collection rewrote the concept of comfort for style. Going with the season, spring colours like violets, green and creams are available in this collection.
