Stars get a makeover

Tanushree Dutta, Pooja Bedi and Amrita Arora got a makeover at the WIFW

“It’s very nice,” remarked actress Amrita Arora as she took a look at herself after being given a makeover by Ambika Pillai. Well, it was the time for makeovers at the 10th edition of the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week. As stars graced the ramp at the Main Show Areas, a little away from it, at Salon Di Wills, actresses Tanushree Dutta, Pooja Bedi and Amrita Arora got themselves a makeover.

Make-up artiste Ambika gave the makeover for all the three. It was the turn of Tanushree on Day One, Pooja on Day Two and Amrita on Day Three. Tanushree came in quietly only to be hounded by the cameras as Ambika Pillai “worked” on her face. Pooja was given a makeover with brown glittering mascara and light lip sticks.

For Amrita, it was an all matching affair with Ambika giving her glittering green eye make–up to match her clothes.

“Play up your eyes and play down your mouth, that’s trend for the season,” said Ambika Pillai. “The makeover is aimed at making these beautiful girls stunning,” she added.

Ambika was part of the makeover exercise last year too. But this time around, she got to do the make–up on three actresses instead of one. “All the three girls gave me total freedom. I made sure that the eye make–up matched with their clothes,” Ambika gave the details.

When quizzed on whose makeover she liked best, Ambika was reticent. Prodded she said softly, “I think Amrita’s makeover was the best.”
