Dosas at the festival
Dosas are staple breakfast and fast food option in most Indian homes but for those who want some newer varieties, of this pancake type creation, the Dosa Ruchulu at the Golkonda Hotel will suffice.
The dosa festival has vegetarian and non vegetarian options. The veg fillings include masala, paneer, mushroom, baby corn, broccoli, onion, cheese and pineapple. The non-veg dosa menu has fillings of minced chicken, lamb kheema and egg.
The dosas here are available in three different batter options- minappappu, pesarattu (green gram) and rawa. So as you order your dosa, you can not only choose the filling you want, but also choose the batter you want it made from.
The festival is on to promote the dosa as a food item, not just for breakfast but, all through the day. But stick to staple options like the plain dosa, rawa dosa, 75mm dosa and masala dosa and you won’t be disappointed. This is not the place to experiment. In all likely hood, you’ll come away dissatisfied with the lack or fillings and even the sambar or your dosa will reach you stone cold. The dosas are priced at Rs. 55 (plus taxes) for the vegetarian ones and Rs. 99 (plus taxes) for the non-vegetarian options.
