Catching the action Fans watching cricket on the big screen at Muthoot Plaza

With the advent of twenty20, cricket fever has rent the air once again and Muthoot Plaza is cashing in.

Muthoot Plaza, which has been hosting DJ parties every Friday night on its rooftop, has come up with an ‘8 X 6’ screen and an amazing menu of beverages and eats for cricket aficionados.

Fans are likely to be bowled over by the action on the screen and the blend of eats and mocktails.

“The idea is borrowed from pubs that transform into sport bars during the sports season. Our idea is to let the youth enjoy the game in style,” says Ranjeesh P. K., Food and Beverage Manager, Muthoot Plaza.

Muthoot Plaza is vying to grab the top honour of bringing to the city its first full fledged pub within the coming year.

Food and beverage

Customers were seen enjoying their food and drink while watching the game on the big screen.

Cheers as well as expletives could be heard all around. “Many of the customers are from Technopark,” says Ranjeesh.

With a maximum capacity of 40, the place was found to be jam-packed on all days of India’s play. The rest of the days were understandably less exciting.

With a fully redeemable cover charge of Rs. 300 for each person the menu at Muthoot Plaza seems endless.

Barman special cocktails such as ‘Caiprioshka,’ ‘Baltimore zoo’ and ‘Fallen angel’ are perfect for a thrilling evening of cricket as are various mixes of white wine, cranberry, gin and beer under exquisite names and tastes.

You can warm your palate with a glass of the James Bond special ‘Bikini Martini’ as well. It is a cocktail of grape and vodka.

Non-alcoholics needn’t worry because all these are available as mocktails as well.

Sizzlers

The sizzler menu of Cottage cheese steak, shahslik is bound to tickle your palate.

Nestled in the heart of the city and a great view to offer, with good food and drinks, it is an interesting way to sit back and watch the match.
