A three-day event to celebrate Indo-US friendship
|
To celebrate 60 years of Indo-US friendship, the U.S. Consulate General in Chennai and Dr. G.R.D College of Science will organise a series of events in Coimbatore.
Today, a round table discussion on Indo-U.S. bilateral trade opportunities will be held at Chamber Towers on Avinashi Road at 3.30 p.m.
Mark Russell, Commercial Consul from the Consulate General, Chennai, will participate.
A video conference with Theodore G. Osius, Minister Counselor of Political Affairs, U.S. Embassy, New Delhi, on the future of Indo-US relations will be held on the college premises at 6.30 p.m.
On September 25, an exhibit on Experience America, a presentation on higher education in the U.S. and student visas, and a screening of a documentary film ‘Inside the white House’ will be organised on the college premises. On the same day, a fusion music concert by American Fulbright scholar Preetha Narayanan (violin) and M.R. Radhakrishnan (Mridangam) will be held at the main auditorium of PSG College of Arts & Science at 6 p.m.
On September 26, a documentary ‘Martin Luther King : I have a dream’ will be screened.
