Dandiya nite
Coimbatore ACME Round Table 133 is organising a Dandiya Nite today at Rajasthani Sangh, R.S. Puram. Funds raised from this event will be utilised to build a six-classroom block at Vadavalli Middle School. Over 400 people will perform the traditional
Garba and Dandiya to the tunes of a music troupe specially brought in from Mumbai. There are a total of 50 prizes to be won in several categories, with eminent judges deciding the winners. Charity show
The Rotaract Club of PSG College of Technology is organising Win Hearts, a charity show.
On at the Q-Angle in the college premises from 4.30 p.m. The chief guests are singers Tippu and Harini, who will also perform a few numbers. The events slated for the evening are a mimicry by Sun Tv’s ‘Asathapovathu champions’, a dance by physically challenged children, and the screening of a short film, ‘The life of a college student.’

Srishti, a exhibition-cum-sale of textiles, accessories and paraphernalia, organised by the Crafts Council of Tamil Nadu is on at Rathna Regent till October 8.
Some of the things you could shop for are exquisite sarees, stitched and unstitched salwar suits, kurtis, Indo-Westerns, bags, Italian and diamond jewellery, home accessories, designer ware, table linen and home furnishings.

Navarathri fest
Shivanjali is organising a festival of dance, music, food and crafts at its New Thillai Nagar (Marudhamalai Road) premises on the occasion of Navarathri.
