Echoes in the walls

Echoes in the walls, an exhibition of photographs by Dr. Avani Rao Gandra, will be on view from October 7 to 15 at Alankritha Art Gallery. Contact 23113709.

The Lepakshi Heritage Collection has works of over 70 artisans exhibited. Among the artifacts exhibited, you will find hand paintings in Cheriyal, Nirmal, Kalahasti and batik styles, pueppets, lampshades in leather, metal castings and sheet metal artware. The collection also includes an exquisite range of silver articles and furniture. The exhibition is on at Kalinga Cultural Trust, road no. 12, Banjara Hills, till October 7, between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m.

The Alliance Francaise, Hyderabad, will screen the French film Le role de sa vie (The role in her life) on October 9, 6.30 p.m., at Sarathi Studios, Ameerpet. On October 10, 3.00 p.m., the organisation in conducting an interaction with the French writer Paule Constant at TEFLU (formerly CIEFL).

Weaving lives: Ahimsa Silk, an exhibition of photographs and illustrative material of an eco-friendly method of manufacturing mulberry silk, accompanied by on-request-screening of a documentary film by Saraswati Kavula, is on till October 14 between 9.30 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the German center Goethe Zentrum (contact 65526443, 23241791).

A photo exhibition, Highlights and Silhouettes, which presents images from rural India by Rajendra Shaw, will be on till October 8 at Taj Krishna (contact 66662323). The exhibition is being held in partnership with Naandi Foundatio n.

Artoons, an exhibition of cartoons based on the art world, by Harinder Singh, will be on view till October 15, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Shrishti Art Gallery (contact: 23540023, 23607151).
